A presentation of GHS project The Chair at Asia International Hemp Expo and Forum 2024
🎉 Excited to share the slides from GHS latest presentation on a game-changing project that we’re bringing to Bangkok Design Week 2025. We’re transforming the way we view hemp textiles by using them in bio composite materials to create sustainable and innovative products.
💡 Composite Materials: We are redefining the use of hemp fiber, which currently holds a very small market share in the fashion industry, trailing far behind synthetic fibers. Instead of competing directly with man-made fibers, we’re adding more value by integrating hemp into composite materials.
🔬 Key Features:
High-Quality Fibers: Hemp fibers are renowned for their durability and strength.
Technical Properties: These fibers possess exceptional properties that make them ideal for composites strength, comparable to glass fiber or carbon fiber.
Composite Layers: Incorporating multiple layers to enhance performance and longevity.
Bio Resins: We’re working on replacing traditional fossil-based epoxy with sustainable bio resins derived from the palm oil industry.
🛠️ Expected Outcome: Our primary focus is to craft a sustainable chair, showcasing at Bangkok Design Week 2025. This is just the beginning—we’re also exploring future ideas, including prototypes and the potential for 3D spinning.
🌿 Sustainability at Its Core: Our project aims to pioneer the use of hemp in high-value applications, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with sustainable materials. By sharing our journey and findings, we hope to inspire more innovation and investment in eco-friendly solutions.
🔍 Join Us: We’re always looking for new partners and supporters to join our mission. Let’s collaborate to make a greener, more sustainable future.
