On 28 February 2023, the Policy Department for Structural and Cohesion Policies held a workshop on “Hemp in the CAP reform” at the AGRI Committee meeting. The workshop provided members with timely information on the EU support to hemp cultivation under the CAP reform, needs of the Member States expressed in the CAP Strategic Plans, the regulatory framework related to cannabis and industrial hemp, the marketing opportunities of the hemp sector and the multitude of potential uses for this crop
