The European Hemp Pole project was born in 2018, an initiative of the Association « Building in Hemp in Grand Est », La Chanvrière and Troyes Champagne Métropole. They were quickly joined by different stakeholders from different hemp application markets. The project was part of the Operational groups of the Agricultural European Innovation Partnership (EIP), and co-financed by the European agricultural fund for rural development (EAFRD).The aim was to create a long-term organisation, able to support the development of hemp in Eastern France and beyond. After 4 years of incubation and co-construction, we are celebrating the end of the initial project and the creation of a SCIC (a commercial company dedicated to act to the benefit of a large panel of different stakeholders), to gather the different hemp-related stakeholders, to coordinate this hemp ecosystem and to support collective development projects. On February, 2 2023, at the Aube Congress Centre, in Troyes, we are celebrating the beginning of the European Hemp Pole adventure! We invite you to attend to hemp enthusiasts testimonies, to discover what companies are already achieving with this plant and to talk about cooperation, territorial transitions and new consumption models.
